Wyoming Scholarship Information
The application and information for the Supreme Scholarship are on the iojd.org website. If you have graduating seniors that are interesting in scholarships, please print off the application and information for them or let them know the availability of the scholarship on line. The deadline for the application is April 30, 2010. Wyoming scholarship information will be available after the first of the year.
MASONIC SCHOLARSHIPS AND LOANS FOR JOB’S DAUGHTERS
DAVIS ROBERTS SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is available to current and past members of Wyoming Job’s Daughters and DeMolay. It can be applied for on a yearly basis. This scholarship is applicable for attendance to any University or College (does not have to be in the State of Wyoming). In addition to the application form, this scholarship requires that a letter be submitted by the applicant’s Bethel Guardian or a member of the Executive Guardian Council confirming the worthiness and need of the applicant. Application forms are available from the Bethel Guardian Secretary or from the Davis Roberts Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 20645, Cheyenne, WY 82003. The deadline for submitting the application is June 15.

EASTERN STAR TRAINING AWARD FOR RELIGIOUS LEADERSHIP (ESTARAL): This scholarship is available to Protestant students who have completed their Sophomore year in college, without regard to their Masonic affiliation. It is solely for students seeking a religious vocation. It can be applied for on a yearly basis. Scholarship money can apply for attendance to any University or College (does not have to be in the State of Wyoming). Application forms can be obtained from any local Wyoming Eastern Star Chapter. The applicant is required to have a sponsoring Eastern Star Chapter. The deadline for submitting the application is July 1.
FLOYD HOLLAND MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is available to anyone, without regard to their Masonic affiliation. A minimum of one scholarship is granted each year. It is available to Juniors and Seniors who are graduates of a Wyoming High School and who have attended the University of Wyoming for at least one year. Forms and information are available the Floyd Holland Memorial Scholarship Committee, 1820 Capitol Avenue, Cheyenne, WY 82001. The deadline for submitting the application is June 10.
GRAND LODGE OF MASONS OF WYOMING SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is available to anyone, without regard to their Masonic affiliation. It may be applied for on a yearly basis, with the amount of the scholarship determined by the selection committee. Scholarship money can apply for attendance to any University or College (does not have to be in the State of Wyoming). The application form may be obtained by writing: Grand Secretary, Grand Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Wyoming, P.O. Box 646, Saratoga, WY 82331. The deadline for submitting the application is May 1.

JOB’S DAUGHTERS EDUCATION LOAN: This fund provides loans of up to $600 through the Grand Guardian Council of Wyoming. It is available to Job’s Daughters in good standing in Wyoming, and is applicable to any University, College, or Vocational School (does not have to be in the State of Wyoming.) The note bears an interest rate of six percent per annum after maturity. Selections of recipients is made by the Committee on Educational Loans. This loan can be applied for at any time, but the applications should probably be submitted around the end of May for the fall semester. KNIGHTS TEMPLAR EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION LOAN: This fund provides loans of up to $2,500 when one scholastic year is required to complete the course of study, or up to $2,500 a year when two scholastic years are required to complete the course of study. For college students, this means that they must have completed their sophomore year before they are eligible to apply for this loan. The maximum loan to any one student is $5,000 and can be applied for at any time. The loan is applicable to Universities, Colleges, or Vocational Schools (do not have to be in the State of Wyoming). The note bears a five percent per annum interest beginning at graduation or termination of studies. Principal and interest are paid in four annual installments, plus interest, starting one year after graduation or at termination of studies; first installment 10 percent; second installment 20 percent; third installment 30 percent; fourth installment 40 percent. SUPREME SCHOLARSHIP FUND: This scholarship is available to current members of Job’s Daughters or Majority Members only. The applicant must be unmarried and under the age of thirty-one. It can be applied for on a yearly basis, and the amount available is $500 per year. It is applicable for attendance to any University, College, or Vocational School (does not have to be in the State of Wyoming). In addition to the application form, this scholarship requires that a letter be submitted by the applicant’s Guardian confirming the worthiness and need of the applicant. WYOMING YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is available to Wyoming Job’s Daughters and DeMolay through any local Eastern Star Chapter. It is to be utilized for undergraduate studies (Freshman through Senior) at Wyoming institutions of higher learning (University of Wyoming, Community Colleges, and Wyoming Trade Schools). The scholarship can be applied for on a yearly basis. Application forms can be obtained from any local Wyoming Eastern Star Chapter. The deadline for submitting the application is July 25.
